Currently we are looking for a skilled MEP Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of M&E construction from design, procurement, delivery and commissioning. In this dynamic position, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that every system works flawlessly and that all installations meet the highest standards.
The Project: This project is a major mixed-use scheme providing 462 apartments within seven new blocks. The tallest block rises up to 33-storeys, making it one of the tallest buildings in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and one our most complex projects to date!
Main Responsibilities:
- You’ll ensure all MEP elements are correctly scoped and procured in line with our clients requirements.
- You’ll be responsible for clear communication between M&E consultants and onsite delivery teams ensuring the project meets client expectations.
- You’ll be preparing detailed progress reports for management and the client, maintaining up-to-date M&E drawings, and ensuring all stages of delivery are documented meticulously to meet regulations and standards.
- Your leadership will be essential in guiding projects from concept to completion, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality.
- You’ll strategise, plan, and witness all commissioning activities, ensuring every test and inspection is performed to perfection.
- Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing design variations, advising on system functionality, and managing subcontractor performance.
We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar MEP based role working for a main contractor or reputable building services contractor.
- Proven track record in managing M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) commissioning activities from design to final handover.
- Experience from early stage of project procurement of M&E elements.
- Experience overseeing subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and managing timelines and deliverables for new build and/or cut & carve schemes.
- SMSTS.
- Relevant Degree or Building Services qualification in Mechanical or Electrical.
- Practical knowledge of Fieldview and 4 Projects.
- Knowledge of the industry standards, UKPS, UKPN, BT fibre requirements for installations.
- Knowledge of current legislation: Health and Safety requirements, building regulations, NHBC site specific requirement.
