The Project Cambridge House is a prestigious Grade I listed redevelopment in Piccadilly, transforming the former “In and Out” Club into a 102-key luxury hotel with seven super‑prime residences. The project combines complex cut‑and‑carve works, heritage restoration and high‑end new‑build elements.
Key Responsibilities- Sub‑contractor Management: Oversee sub‑contractors, ensuring competency, contract compliance, and timely material ordering.
- Work Allocation & Monitoring: Allocate tasks to sub‑contractors, monitor progress, and ensure quality control and safety on‑site.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all mechanical installations meet relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain QA documentation, ensuring all works are photographed and signed off accordingly.
- Mechanical Systems Oversight: Manage the installation of a variety of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal costs.
- Safety & Compliance: Deliver toolbox talks, address unsafe practices, and ensure safety compliance throughout the project.
- Progress Reporting: Manage project progress, update the programme, and lead weekly meetings with stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager within a Tier 1 main contractor or building services contractor.
- Experience working on New build or Cut & Carve projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water treatment, and more.
- In‑depth understanding of regulations, including WRAS, NHBC, Thames Water, and Health & Safety.
- Proficiency in using 4Projects and other project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
