Responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities related to façade and envelope works, ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality delivery in alignment with project requirements.
The Project: The £260m major mixed-use scheme will provide 91 private apartments and 30 affordable and shared ownership apartments within two blocks rising to 11-storeys, which sit over the new commercial space and parking provision on the lower ground floors. Located in the heart of Kings Cross, sandwiched between the Regents Canal, St Pancras Hospital and will provide 30,000sqft of new purpose built co-working office space, alongside 121 new homes.
On-Site Management: Supervise and manage all façade construction activities on-site, ensuring alignment with project schedules and objectives. Work closely with the Façade Project Manager and design team to resolve technical issues on-site. Provide input on technical queries and support subcontractors in executing complex installation tasks. Assist in managing interfaces between façade works and other construction elements. Enforce compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting toolbox talks, safety inspections, and audits. Ensure site-specific risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are followed.
Quality Assurance: Monitor construction processes to ensure all works meet the required specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Liaise with the Façade Project Manager to ensure alignment between on-site activities and broader project goals. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth site operations.
Progress Monitoring: Track on-site progress against the program and provide regular updates and reports to the Façade Project Manager. Address and resolve on-site challenges, escalating issues to the Façade/Project Manager as necessary.
Material Management: Oversee the delivery, storage, and usage of façade-related materials, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily site logs, inspection records, and safety audits.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 6 in Construction management or MSc in Construction Management / Project Management, CSCS black card (management level), SMSTS, Familiarity with CWCT standards and building regulations, including Part B, Knowledge of QA systems – Ideally Field view.
