Ardmore are looking for a Document Controller for one of our sites based in Hammersmith. The Document Controller role will involve ensuring that all project documentation is up to date, available and easily accessible by the Project Team. Responsible to keep various trackers and documents up to date and compile the Handover Documentation (H&S Files).
Project: The Redevelopment of Hammersmith town hall and the spaces around will now consist of new Residential blocks, Civic Campus and town square, commercial spaces and even a 5-screen cinema!
Main Responsibilities:
- Create electronic and paper-based filing systems (including racks for full size drawings) for each design discipline including drawings, specifications, various design related communication etc.
- Ensure that all this information is up to date, downloaded from the Information Management System (i.e. 4Projects, BIW, FTP sites).
- Make sure that ‘used-on’ projects and out-of-date documents are superseded.
- Provide 4 Projects training for new members of the Project team.
- Create and regularly update various trackers, registers, and other tools to ensure that all stored information is accessible and easy to find.
- Assist in the creation of the Health & Safety File and ensure that it is done at least 6 weeks before the final completion of the project.
- Follow the guidance and instructions of the Design Manager and CDM Coordinator while compiling all information, documents, and certificates for the Health & Safety Files.
We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience working with 4 Projects MS Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience working with an engineering or construction company
- Strong administration skills
- Fast and accurate IT skills
