The Role: Currently we are looking for a skilled Design Manager to join the existing team and assist in the effective coordination of design delivery across the project. You’ll assist in managing consultants and subcontractors, lead design meetings, and support the site team with critical technical input to ensure delivery meets programme, budget and quality expectations!
Main Responsibilities:
- Interpret and ensure compliance with the client’s brief, ERs, specifications, and drawings throughout the project.
- Develop and manage key design tools including the Design Responsibility Matrix (DRM), Design Risk Assessment (DRA), and Information Release Schedule (IRS).
- Coordinate design meetings, maintain accurate records, and support consultant procurement and appointment processes.
- Oversee and track design progress using RFI protocols, technical submissions, and CDCP tools.
- Manage statutory compliance requirements including BREEAM, Building Regulations, and CSH with support from consultants.
- Review and coordinate subcontractor and supplier designs, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.
- Support QA processes.
