As the Senior MEP Manager you will oversee the quality control and installation of all mechanical and electrical packages for one of our London based projects. This is a key role where you will carry out a pro-active role in running and overseeing a team of professional M&E engineers in delivering M&E Commissioning Management service, covering all building service installations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend design and construction meetings and chair weekly M&E subcontractor meetings with relevant managers in attendance.
- Lead day to day Design (where applicable) and construction management works on projects, including procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Ensure all subcontractors and site operatives are working to their method statements. Method statements to be reviewed alongside health and safety department to ensure methodology is the safest way of carrying out the works.
- Communicate between the M&E commissioning managers, designers and the construction team.
- Ensure that all inspection and testing procedures are carried out correctly.
- Write/review the commissioning strategy, commissioning assessment, commissioning plan and programme.
- Witness and sign off commissioning of systems, and associated documentation.
We’re Looking For:
- Experience of leading all MEP elements for a similar size project.
- Excellent working knowledge of materials, specifications and industry working practices.
- Experience in the design and build of air source heat pumps solutions (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of current legislation: Health and Safety requirements, building regulations, NHBC site specific requirement.
- Educated to ONC level or likely to hold relevant professional qualifications from a building services background.
