Ardmore is looking for an experienced Senior M&E Manager to join our team on Hackney Yards, one of London’s landmark mixed-use developments. This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in managing and quality controlling the full mechanical and electrical installation process, from design coordination through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with the Project Director / Construction Director, you will oversee a team of M&E professionals and specialist subcontractors to ensure all services are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest standard.
The Role
As Senior M&E Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and execution of all mechanical and electrical elements across the project. You will play a key role in design integration, procurement, installation management, commissioning and handover, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of all M&E packages from design through to completion and handover
- Manage Mechanical Managers, Electrical Managers and specialist subcontractors
- Review and coordinate M&E design to ensure practical, cost-effective and compliant solutions
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor performance and installation quality
- Drive testing, commissioning, QA and compliance across all M&E systems
- Coordinate with design, commercial and site teams to resolve issues and maintain programme
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety requirements and Ardmore standards
- Monitor project costs, support value engineering and maintain accurate reporting throughout the lifecycle of the works.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an M&E Manager / Senior M&E Manager role
- Experience with new build residential or Cut & Carve refurb projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the full M&E lifecycle including design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and documentation
- Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
- Strong understanding of health & safety, building regulations and quality assurance processes
- Commercial awareness and strong reporting capability
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and SMSTS are highly desirable.
