The role of the Quantity Surveyor is to play an active supporting part in the various commercial activities associated with a project and in conformity with company procedures as laid down from time to time. The Project is a Grade 1 & 2 listed building that is being transformed into high end residential apartments. There will be a total of 42 units across 3 blocks. The project is valued at £92m. The roof will be extended and turned into a penthouse and there will be a gym, spa and swimming area built underground.
Main Responsibilities
- Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.
- Provide support to the Project Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Managing Quantity Surveyor.
- Assistance with the procurement of Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.
- Contribution to the analysis of Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers tender returns.
- Subject to the prior approval, authorise payments in respect of interim and final applications for payment from Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.
- Preparation, co-ordination, and processing labour only payments.
- Carry out building work take-offs, measurement and scheduling exercises and preparation of bills of quantities for the procurement and sub-letting processes.

- Chartered member of RICS
- JCT Contracts
- Commercial knowledge
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Construction industry
