A leading City law firm is seeking an experienced tax lawyer to join its tax practice in a Knowledge Lawyer role. The position will support a broad and sophisticated tax advisory practice, providing technical, professional and practice development support to fee earners across all levels of seniority.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responding to technical queries
- Monitoring and communicating legal and policy developments
- Maintaining and developing knowhow and precedents
- Supporting training programmes
- Contributing to thought leadership and business development initiatives
The role is well suited to an associate with strong technical tax experience who is interested in moving into a knowledge-focused position, or to an existing knowledge lawyer looking to deepen their involvement in a leading tax practice. While the role is non-fee‑earning in nature, there may be some direct client and external-facing involvement, including training and publications.
Applicants should be UK-qualified with ideally four or more years’ PQE, strong academic credentials and excellent technical and drafting skills. A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in legal developments, knowledge management and training are essential.
The role offers a high level of intellectual challenge, close integration with the wider tax team, and a supportive, inclusive working environment.
