The Senior Surveyor provides land assembly, compensation and valuation advice for major projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering strategic compensation advice, risk mitigation in land acquisition, and stakeholder engagement to secure consents, settle claims, and negotiate agreements.
- Offering specialist technical input, particularly around compensation and compulsory purchase legislation.
- Leading and managing projects, ensuring efficient and compliant resolution of claims and securing land.
- Conducting and leading negotiations with landowners, clients, and stakeholders to facilitate land acquisition and settle compensation claims.
- Ensuring the accurate management of valuations and Property Cost Estimates.
- Assessing and improving the profitability of individual projects by managing costs and resources efficiently.
- Building effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Managing the delivery of projects, ensuring effective and confident oversight.
- Understanding the legal basis of compulsory purchase compensation and its application to various compensation claims.
- Demonstrating a track record in leading negotiations and settling compensation claims.
- Identifying and mitigating risks, providing strategic solutions to complex challenges.
- Identifying new business opportunities and enhancing project profitability.
