The role requires advising private equity funds, companies, investors, lenders and insurance providers on UK pensions law in the context of corporate transactions, financings, outsourcings, restructurings and pension insurance transactions. The successful candidate will handle the full spectrum of pensions issues arising from transactional structuring and implementation, risk assessment and potential regulatory exposure.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Advising on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions
- Conducting transactional due diligence
- Advising on issues relating to the UK Pensions Regulator’s statutory moral hazard powers and the powers of UK pension trustees
- Advising on amendments and restructurings of UK pension arrangements
- Pension plan de-risking and insurance transactions
The position requires strong technical capability, sound judgement and the ability to navigate the full life cycle of transactions within a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape.
