A leading legal intelligence service for law firms and in-house lawyers is looking for a Corporate Knowledge Lawyer (5 PQE Plus) to join its Knowledge Team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

The business has developed an excellent reputation for providing high-quality, practical legal intelligence to corporate lawyers. Its aim is to make legal content more comprehensive, more insightful and more accessible than anything else in the market.

Following significant growth in its corporate offering, the business is now looking for an experienced corporate lawyer to play a key role in the continued development of its market-leading service.

The opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding digital business in a newly created role.

The successful candidate will play an integral part in developing and enhancing a ground-breaking legal information service for corporate lawyers. You will work alongside a talented team of experienced knowledge lawyers, legal editors and external experts, including leading barristers.

The role offers significant scope to shape the content and development of the corporate service, while drawing on your existing technical expertise and gaining exposure to the wider legal knowledge and technology landscape.

Job description

You will be responsible for writing, reviewing, editing and maintaining first-class, practical and informative content for the corporate service.

The role is varied and provides significant opportunity to contribute to the development of the service, its content strategy and its interaction with other areas of the product.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing the service over time through new topics, precedents, legislation, practical resources and news commentary and analysis
  • Scoping, writing, reviewing and editing high-quality corporate law content, consistently applying the organisation's distinctive approach and style Maintaining and developing your own expertise, keeping up to date with legal and market developments and researching sources to identify matters relevant to subscribers
  • Working closely and collaboratively with barristers, knowledge lawyers, editors and external experts and specialists
  • Supporting customer engagement, including responding to subscribers' content queries and assessing market requirements Identifying opportunities to improve and expand the corporate service in response to developments in law and practice
  • Liaising with the Development Team on technical solutions and enhancements to the online service

Key requirements

Together with strong technical corporate law knowledge, candidates should have at least 5 years' PQE and broad experience of UK corporate law, whether gained at the Bar or within a leading law firm.

A demonstrable aptitude for writing high-quality legal copy in an engaging, practical and accessible way, together with a genuine interest in communicating legal developments to others, is essential.
