About Ardent

Ardent is a specialist education marketing agency. We help schools, universities and learning providers attract students, strengthen their reputation and achieve sustainable growth through strategic content, video production and digital advertising. Working exclusively in the education sector, we create content that helps organisations connect with the audiences that matter most.

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Content Creator to support our team during a busy production period. This is a varied role that combines video editing, content creation and production support. You’ll spend much of your time editing content, but you’ll also assist our production team on location, supporting shoots and helping ensure projects run smoothly. Attitude is just as important as technical ability. You’ll be working directly with clients, teachers, students and senior leaders, so confidence, professionalism and strong communication skills are essential. This role would suit a recent graduate, junior creative, freelancer between projects or someone looking to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of content production.

Responsibilities

  • Editing video content for schools, colleges, universities and education brands
  • Producing short-form content for platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
  • Assisting the production team on location during filming
  • Supporting camera operators and producers during shoots
  • Helping manage equipment and prepare for filming days
  • Organising project files and media assets
  • Building rough cuts and refining edits based on feedback
  • Exporting and preparing content for delivery across multiple platforms
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone at the beginning of their content creation career who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team. You don’t need to know everything. We’re looking for someone who is curious, reliable, organised and willing to get stuck in, whether that’s editing content, carrying kit onto a shoot, supporting the camera team or helping deliver a project on time. If you’re the kind of person who sees a task that needs doing and gets on with it, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential

  • At least 1 year of paid experience creating digital content, editing video or supporting productions
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working with clients and representing the business professionally
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience filming content
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Motion graphics or animation skills
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms
  • An interest in education, marketing or brand storytelling

To Apply

Please send your CV together with a portfolio, showreel or examples of your work. We’re less interested in where you’ve worked and more interested in your attitude, potential and the quality of your work. Whether your experience comes from agency roles, freelance projects, university work or personal projects, we’d love to see what you’ve created. Applications without a portfolio, showreel or examples of work will not be considered.
