Role Purpose:

As the Head of Marketing Communications, your purpose is to develop and lead strategic marketing communications initiatives, ensuring alignment with business growth priorities across transport, renewables, utilities, and regeneration sectors. You will act as a key link between the Marketing Communications, Bid, and Strategic Growth teams, ensuring Ardent maximizes its visibility, responds to Government policy direction, wins strategic bids, and leverages market and policy intelligence for targeted campaigns designed to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing communications plan
  • Identify market trends, business opportunities, and industry developments
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications, Bid, and Strategic Growth teams
  • Oversee creation and execution of tailored marketing communications campaigns
  • Monitor campaign performance and refine strategies for optimal impact and ROI
  • Enhance quality of bids and proposals through effective marketing communications
  • Coordinate intelligence sharing between Strategic Growth leads and Bid team
  • Develop and implement structured Key Account Management (KAM) activities
  • Enhance reputation and visibility in target sectors
  • Identify and oversee industry sponsorships, awards, and event participation
  • Maximize PR and media coverage in industry publications
  • Develop and maintain company CRM
  • Capture insights on client engagement, bid performance, and campaign effectiveness
  • Provide dashboard reporting to Commercial Board
  • Lead brand and content strategy, ensuring consistent messaging
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts (website updates, SEO, email campaigns, paid advertising)
  • Develop and lead internal communications strategy to engage colleagues

Skills & Experience

  • Strategic marketing communications and internal communications experience at a senior level
  • Demonstrable experience supporting business development through effective marketing communications
  • Strong collaboration and team‑building skills
  • Data‑driven decision‑making using CRM and marketing analytics
  • Business development and bid preparation knowledge
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Awareness and experience of political landscape to maximize influencing potential and growth opportunities

Pay Range and Compensation Package

  • 25 days of annual leave (with options to buy or carry over)
