Role Purpose:

This role supports the growth of the Renewable energy sector by managing project teams and overseeing day-to-day operations for Renewable Energy Projects. You'll work alongside Project Directors to ensure cohesive delivery, meet client requirements and budgets, provide technical advice, and support the growth of junior team members while driving business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the delivery of Renewable Energy projects, ensuring that all client requirements and budgets are met. Work alongside Project Directors to manage project teams effectively and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Client Liaison: Engage with landowners and handle public enquiries to strengthen stakeholder relationships. Provide clear communication and build trust to facilitate smoother project delivery and reduce potential conflicts or delays.
  • Financial Management: Support the financial aspects of projects, including invoicing, debt management, and time sign-off. Ensure that financial targets are met and contribute to the overall commercial performance of the project.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical advice and support to the delivery team and clients. Provide guidance on renewable energy technologies and infrastructure projects to ensure that instructions are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Mentorship: Act as a coach and mentor to junior team members, providing technical advice and support for their professional development. Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment to enhance team performance and retention.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the team and the business by identifying opportunities for expanding instructions and securing new clients. Drive cross-selling initiatives and support the achievement of revenue targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Use your negotiation skills to secure agreements in a timely manner, ensuring the smooth progression of projects.
  • Project Hygiene: Ensure that all project-related financial requirements are met, including timely invoicing and debt management. Support the directorate and business in meeting WIP (Work in Progress) and debtor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to team members, clients, and project teams. Ensure clear and concise communication of project progress, challenges, and outcomes to all stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong people leadership skills to inspire and empower high-performing teams
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies (Solar, Wind, BESS)
  • Familiarity with DCOs, CPO/CA requirements, and Land Assembly for renewable sites
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders
