Role Purpose:

This role supports the growth of the Renewable energy sector by managing project teams and overseeing day-to-day operations for Renewable Energy Projects. You'll work alongside Project Directors to ensure cohesive delivery, meet client requirements and budgets, provide technical advice, and support the growth of junior team members while driving business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Assist in the delivery of project tasks, ensuring project outcomes are met. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, managing timelines, and ensuring all deliverables are completed to the highest standard.
  • Communication: Liaise with landowners and address public enquiries. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and foster trust and transparency.
  • Project Hygiene: Support the Project Account Manager with financial requirements, ensuring timesheets and expenses are accurate and submitted on time. Aid in exceeding forecasted commercial performance for the project and support the directorate and business in meeting WIP and debtors KPIs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Provide basic guidance to the client regarding DCO/CP processes and compensation. Continuously seek learning opportunities and guidance from team members to enhance your expertise.
  • People Leadership: Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical advice and supporting their professional development through CPD. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Growth: Engage in business development and cross-selling to support the wider growth of the business. Identify opportunities to expand instructions by consistently exceeding client expectations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Relationship Building: Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally. Enhance cross-functional teamwork and foster aligned decision-making, leading to increased project efficiency and improved team collaboration.
  • Leadership Development: Desire to develop and learn people leadership skills to inspire, develop, and empower high-performing teams. Learn how to lead an engaged and motivated team.
  • Market Knowledge: Basic infrastructure market knowledge and awareness of policy and upcoming potential changes. Provide informed advice to clients to support their projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Basic knowledge of DCOs and CPO/CA processes, compensation framework, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation. Provide effective support to clients, finding solutions and efficiencies to deliver major infrastructure projects on or ahead of schedule.
  • Negotiation Skills: Lead on simple negotiations, develop and complete agreements while evidencing meaningful engagement. Secure agreements on behalf of the client, improving project delivery and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences. Ensure clear and concise communication with team members, clients, and project teams, leading to successful project outcomes and reporting.
