We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our team working on the Thames Water framework, supporting the delivery of clean water projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to develop their career within civil and construction engineering, with full support and mentoring.

Working under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Project Manager, you will gain hands-on site experience and play an active role in day-to-day engineering activities across live projects. Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:

  • Assisting with the setting out of works on site
  • Completing daily site records and maintaining accurate engineering documentation
  • Recording as-built information and supporting quality control activities
  • Producing weekly site progress reports
  • Supporting the Senior Engineer to ensure designs are delivered in line with specifications and health and safety requirements
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates
  • Checking that equipment is calibrated, in date, and compliant with company and manufacturer requirements

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You are a recent graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering (electrical disciplines are not suitable for this role).
  • Some site-based experience within the UK construction industry, such as a placement, internship, or summer role, would be advantageous.
  • A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and develop under the guidance of experienced engineers.
