As part of our team, you will assist in managing commercial responsibilities to maximise profit and control costs.

  • Producing weekly and monthly cost-value reconciliations.
  • Capturing and allocating costs and liabilities.
  • Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Managing opportunities and risks, identifying deviations from working practices.
  • Assisting in the development of commercial tenders, offers, and contracts.
  • Identifying and escalating inappropriate costs.
  • Recording and tracking insurance claims.
  • Maintaining accurate contract data and records.
  • Capturing and reporting direct labour payments; drafting and awarding sub-contracts.
  • Share best practices to drive continuous improvement.

We would love to hear from you if…

  • Have a relevant degree in construction or commercial management, along with experience in subcontractor management.
  • A strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract are essential, as well as knowledge of relevant construction and contract law.
  • Have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present commercial information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced Excel skills are also required.
  • This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and develop their career in quantity surveying.
  • You should be proactive in managing your workload, working collaboratively, and inspiring others to do the same.
  • We are looking for someone who can identify and elevate issues promptly, demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges, and take personal responsibility for resolving problems.
  • You should be confident in positively challenging situations and providing clear commercial insights.
  • A full UK manual driving licence is required, as while you will be primarily based in Southam, you will also need to visit other sites, including Calvert and Aylesbury.
