Our care home sits in its own grounds with scenic views over the sea, woodland, and gardens, specialising in residential care for 32 residents. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to ensure the building, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff.
What We Offer

What You Will Do
In this role, you will take responsibility for the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the home. This includes handling general repairs, plumbing, doors, and appliances, as well as carrying out routine maintenance such as light bulb replacement. You will inspect electrical panels and wiring to prevent issues and take charge of installing or upgrading equipment as needed. Maintaining the outdoor areas, including lawns and waste collection, will also be part of your role. You will conduct regular safety checks, including fire alarms and other safety systems, inspect and repair building surfaces, and contribute to renovation or improvement projects. You will work closely with the facilities or maintenance manager to address larger issues and ensure that all work meets high standards of quality, health, and safety. Occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call duties may be required to respond to emergencies.

You will be experienced in general building maintenance, repairs, or installations, with a practical, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach. You must be able to work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and have a strong understanding of health and safety. Flexibility to cover occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency duties is essential.
