We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career, and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick-up, need reduced hours during school holidays, or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern, we can fix or flex our patterns to suit your needs.

Our opening hours are 8 am - 7 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday. Our full-time vets work 35 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, with a share in 1:3 Saturdays, and there is no out-of-hours commitment. We encourage part-time and flexible working candidates to apply.

Why join Ardene House? We are proud to host a team of skilled professionals, including both surgical and medical certificate holders. We collaborate with renowned specialists who visit regularly to offer specialised clinics in cardiology, dermatology, and pain management. The small animal department at Kingswells is home to a talented team of 7 Vets, 8 Nurses, 2 VCAs, 2 SVNs, and a brilliant team of receptionists. Our staff work alongside our dedicated farm animal and equine colleagues, ensuring comprehensive care across multiple specialisms. Each day, we have nurses assigned specifically to consulting, kennels, anaesthesia, surgery, and preparation, optimising patient care and workflow.

We foster a culture of CPD and specialisation, supporting our team in pursuing certificates and advanced studies, fully funded by the practice. Located in spacious, purpose-built premises in Kingswells, our facilities include ample parking and state-of-the-art equipment.

Our department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including a digital radiography room, a dental suite featuring the latest IMS rotating dental radiography machine and processor, ultrasonography, CT scanner, endoscopy, and laparoscopy facilities. We boast two surgical theatres, one with a dedicated preparation area, an in-house laboratory, extensive kennel areas, a separate cattery, critical care, and isolation wards. During general anaesthesia, we prioritise patient safety with advanced equipment such as sevoflurane anaesthesia, multiparameter monitoring systems, and bear huggers.
