We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Head Housekeeper to support our Head Housekeeper in leading the day-to-day operation of our Housekeeping department.
As Assistant Head Housekeeper, you'll help ensure our guest bedrooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces are beautifully presented and consistently meet our luxury standards
- What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Head Housekeeper with the smooth day-to-day running of the department
- Leading, motivating and supporting our housekeeping team
- Allocating daily workloads and help coordinating the team
- Inspecting bedrooms and public areas to ensure exceptional standards
- Monitoring room turnaround and help keep operations running efficiently
- Responding to guest requests and feedback professionally
- Working closely with Front Office and other departments
- Supporting rotas, recruitment, onboarding, training and team development
- Helping manage linen, cleaning products, equipment and departmental stock
- Promoting safe working practices and ensure Health & Safety and COSHH procedures are followed
- Step in and provide hands-on support whenever the team needs you
What we're looking for
- Must have previous housekeeping experience within a hotel or hospitality environment
- Must have experience supervising, leading or supporting a team
- Must have high standards and excellent attention to detail
- Must have a positive, supportive and hands-on leadership style
- Must have excellent organisation and communication skills
- Must have the ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment
- Must have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Must have a good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices
- Luxury hotel or spa experience would be a real advantage
- Additional Information
- Full-Time position working 5 out of 7 days per week - including weekends and public holidays
- 40 hours per week
- Salary: £31,000 per annum
- Estimated Start Date: 12 October 2026
