We\’re on the lookout for a passionate electro-magnetic design engineer.

You\’ll join a fun, dynamic team working on cool projects like electric motors and generators for aerospace, defence, and oil and gas. Your role will be varied, from new product development to ongoing support.

What You\’ll Do:

  • Design: Work on electro-magnetic devices like BLDC, Synchronous PM, and Induction motors & generators.
  • Analysis: Use tools like MotorCAD and Ansys Maxwell for electro-magnetic FE analysis and magnetic circuit calculations.
  • Simulation: Perform system performance simulations and analyze motor design impacts.
  • Testing: Define requirements and test new and existing products.
  • Customer Support: Help out with sales visits and customer discussions.
  • Documentation: Create top-notch engineering reports, specs, and procedures.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on new product introductions.
  • Business Development: Assist with technical proposals, costings, and documentation.
  • Tech Support: Provide support to sales teams to win new business.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Skilled with 2D/3D FEA packages (MotorCAD, ANSYS) and electro-magnetic design.
  • Education: Preferably a Master\’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on e-machine design.
  • Skills: Strong in simulation, analysis, data handling, and coding (MATLAB, Python, Octave).
  • Attributes: Self-starter, great communicator, able to handle pressure and conflicting demands.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Training: Participate in necessary training.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to help out during busy times.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Take on extra tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in the field.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate Engineering Qualification.

Personal Circumstances:

  • Driving License: Required.
  • Travel: Willing to travel to the US and EMEA as needed.
