Our work model is primarily remote with little to no travel required. The role is not contract‑based and the location will be noted in the employment contract.

About our Department

The SITS Developers sit within our Technology Department and are crucial to enabling staff and students to work effectively. Our IT team of around 60 engineers spans software development, IT operations, and security. We value employee development and have a track record of internal progression.

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire three SITS Developers to develop and maintain the Student Information Systems across multiple products and departments, supporting the full student life cycle. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and maintaining software platforms.

  • Provide expert SITS technical knowledge and troubleshoot existing functionality.
  • Develop and support other team members in building industry‑leading products using sound architecture and innovative solutions that meet organisational strategy and are delivered on time and budget.
  • Help manage day‑to‑day software maintenance and support activities.
  • Mentor and support junior developers.

About You

You’re an experienced SITS Developer with strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a passion for solving complex problems and mentoring others.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Proven track record in SITS/eVision development, including building and maintaining complex SRLs, Tasking, and Vistas.
  • Extensive experience with systems integration and Stu‑Talk.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and strong capability in writing, optimising, and troubleshooting queries.
  • Demonstrable experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON/XML, Bootstrap.
  • Experience working in a higher‑education environment and understanding of the student lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Knowledge of PHP and related frameworks.
  • Understanding of machine‑learning principles.
  • Experience with software deployment pipelines, Git, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience with API integrations and cloud‑based middleware services.
