About our Department
The Senior Salesforce Administrator sits within our Technology Department that is crucial to making sure our employees and students can work effectively, deliver projects, find the right solutions and ensure we develop the technology that will make the biggest difference. Our IT team is made up of around 65 employees with a vast range of skills from Software Development to IT Operations and Security. Our IT Department values employee development and we have lots of great examples of employee progression and promotions within the team.
About the Opportunity
The Senior Salesforce Administrator will oversee and coordinate all activities relating to Sales Cloud and Service Cloud within the University’s Salesforce environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the platform operates effectively, delivers maximum value to stakeholders, and evolves in line with organisational priorities. Working as a key member of the Salesforce team, the position drives continuous improvement and innovation across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, enhancing system capability and user experience. The role ensures that development, configuration, and enhancement activities are delivered within agreed timelines and aligned to business requirements.
The Senior Salesforce Administrator leads on gathering and translating stakeholder requirements into scalable, best‑practice Salesforce solutions, supporting seamless system functionality across multiple user groups. This includes building and optimising custom solutions, troubleshooting technical challenges, and maintaining the integrity and performance of the Salesforce ecosystem. In addition, the role contributes to strengthening Salesforce adoption and capability across the University by supporting user training, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the Salesforce team, ensuring the platform continues to enable operational efficiency and strategic growth.
About You
Essential Skills / Experience
- Delivering development in an Agile/SCRUM framework.
- Administration of Salesforce's Sales Cloud Functionality.
- Salesforce customer facing applications.
- Working as part of an IT service delivery team, solving problems and building positive relationships with users.
- Salesforce native Sales functionality and Salesforce Sales Engagement.
- Excel skills with ability to use formulas, v-lookups, and other manipulating data techniques.
- Technical and communication skills with the ability to interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to support and enhance the system accordingly.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Education Cloud or other Salesforce Clouds.
- Certifications in Salesforce Cloud / Service Cloud / Salesforce App Builder / Salesforce Business Analyst.
