Travel required to: Nottingham Campus. Occasional travel to other Arden campuses.

About the Opportunity

As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in designing the module and taking on the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures both face‑to‑face and online for our blended and distance learning students.
  • Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
  • Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high‑quality feedback.
  • Support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
  • Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment.
  • Travel to Nottingham Campus 3–4 days a week to suit the student timetable; occasional travel to other Arden campuses.

About You

To be successful as a Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism you must have:

Essential requirements

  • MSc or equivalent qualification in Hospitality and Tourism or Business Management related field and/or substantial industry experience.
  • AdvanceHE Recognition – FHEA or willingness to achieve within 12–18 months.
  • Experience in current and effective teaching, learning and assessment practices in Higher Education, and the ability to bring knowledge and understanding to Arden to grow our programmes and provide excellent student outcomes.
  • Evidence of successful experience of working in programme teams and of being a creative and inspiring lecturer and colleague.
  • Experience of leading a project, intervention or module in teaching and learning.

Desirable requirements

  • Planning, leadership and delivery of modules within Hospitality and Tourism management.
  • Ensure all modules align with academic standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of new modules, from initial concept through to final implementation.
  • Prepare and curate materials for teaching resources to ensure they meet academic expectations and student needs.
  • Launch and deliver new academic programmes and modules in content delivery, ensuring a high‑quality student experience.
