Join Arden University’s growing Cyber Security team as a Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer. In this role you will proactively implement new cyber security controls, investigate and report on breaches, and compile incident data to support the university’s incident management process. You will help maintain world‑class security across Arden’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement new cyber security controls across the university infrastructure.
  • Investigate and report on attempted and actual breaches.
  • Compile incident reports and data throughout the incident management process.
  • Enhance security measures, improve performance and ensure end‑user satisfaction.

About You – Essential

  • Significant practical experience applying cyber security protection and detection technologies.
  • Hands‑on experience monitoring, managing and updating MS Sentinel, MS Defender and working with SOC engineers.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of hardware, software, networking infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Significant work experience with incident detection, incident response and forensics.
  • Expertise in security architecture, security tools and systems.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and principles.
  • Experience with security systems such as anti‑virus, content filtering, authentication, device encryption, firewalls, EDR/XDR, DNS, VPN, MFA, DDOS mitigation and networking (e.g., Cisco Meraki).

Desirable

  • Recognised information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, automation, CI & CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch).
