About the Opportunity
As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in designing the module and support students. Responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging lectures both face‑to‑face and online for blended and distance learning students.
- Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
- Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments and provide high‑quality feedback.
- Support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
- Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support and assessment.
Expected travel to Holborn Campus 3‑4 days a week to suit the student timetable; occasional travel to other London‑based campuses may be required.
About You
Essential requirements:
- MSc or equivalent qualification in Hospitality and Tourism or Business Management related field and/or substantial industry experience.
- AdvanceHE Recognition – FHEA or willing to achieve within 12–18 months.
- Experience in current and effective teaching, learning and assessment practices in Higher Education, with a record of student outcomes.
- Successful experience working in programme teams and as a creative and inspiring lecturer.
- Experience leading a project, intervention or module in teaching and learning.
Desirable requirements:
- Planning, leadership and delivery of modules within Hospitality and Tourism management.
- Ensure all modules align with academic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support development of new modules, from concept through final implementation.
- Prepare and curate teaching resources to meet academic expectations and student needs.
- Launch and deliver new academic programmes and modules ensuring high‑quality student experience.
