Location: mainly remote working with very occasional travel to one of our UK campuses. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit, so an Arden work location is added to employment contracts.

Role overview: The Lecturer in Business Management - Apprenticeships role sits within the Department of Business Management Pathways. We are recruiting 2 Lecturers to teach Arden’s undergraduate Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship using a range of innovative approaches to enhance the apprenticeship journey while meeting governance, compliance and regulatory requirements. Lecturers collaborate with the Dean, Heads of School, Heads of Department and Senior Lecturers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of programmes in accordance with University strategy, policies and procedures and undertake research and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Arden’s undergraduate Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (levels 4-7) with focus areas including Finance, HR, Marketing, Strategy, Project Management. Deliver learner-centered online learning and demonstrate ability to engage in a variety of teaching approaches.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery and quality assurance of apprenticeship programmes in line with regulatory and professional standards.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (Dean, Heads of School, Heads of Department, Senior Lecturers) to ensure programme effectiveness and alignment with University strategy.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and industry experience in business and management sectors. Professional recognition (e.g., Advanced HE Fellowship, CMI Chartered Manager) is welcome.
  • Experience teaching degree apprentices at levels 4-7 in Leadership and Management, with expertise in at least one area (Finance, HR, Marketing, Strategy, Project Management). Learner-centered delivery style required.
  • Teaching qualification preferred or willingness to work towards one. Minimum Master’s Degree with relevant management/leadership experience.
  • Professional body membership/qualifications (CMI, CIPD, APM, CIMA, CIM) welcome.
  • Desirable knowledge of IfATE Apprenticeship Standards and Ofsted/Education Inspection Framework requirements; online delivery experience (Moodle, Blackboard or similar) and supporting online learners.
  • Willingness to pass an enhanced DBS check.
