Department of Business Management Pathways
The Lecturer in Business Management – Apprenticeships role will sit within the Department of Business Management Pathways which is one of the biggest departments within Arden University. We have a fantastic team of Academics that are teaching a variety of Business Management courses such as Business Finance, Business Marketing, Business and Computing, Business Accounting and Finance, Business / HR management.
The Role – Lecturer in Business Management – Apprenticeships
We are currently recruiting 2 Lecturers to join our team to teach Arden’s undergraduate Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship using a range of innovative approaches to enhance the apprenticeship journey, while meeting our compliance and regulatory needs.
Lecturers work with the Dean, Heads of School, Heads of Department and Senior Lecturers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of programmes in accordance with University strategy, policies and procedures and undertake research and scholarly activity.
About You:
We would like to hear from applicants who:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and possess industry experience in business and management sector(s). Candidates holding professional body recognition, such as Advanced HE Fellowship and CMI Chartered Manager, are particularly welcome to apply.
- You\’ll be experienced at teaching degree apprentices at levels 4-7 in Leadership and Management within the UK, with particular expertise in at least one of the following; Finance, HR, Marketing, Strategy, Project Management. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a learner-centred delivery style.
- Ideally you will have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one. In addition, you will hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and possess industry experience in management or leadership roles.
- Candidates holding professional body membership or qualifications, such as from CMI, CIPD, APM, CIMA, CIM, are particularly welcome to apply.
- Demonstrable industry experience will highly enhance your application.
- It is desirable for you to possess knowledge of relevant IfATE Apprenticeship Standards and the demands of apprenticeship teaching, including the requirements of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework and the Further Education and Skills Handbook.
- As our apprenticeship teaching is delivered online, experience of delivering workshops and supporting students in an online learning environment would be desirable, in addition to prior exposure to virtual learning environments, and other online tools to support student learning (e.g. Moodle, Blackboard or similar).
- You\’ll be happy to pass an enhanced DBS check when offered the role.
