Arden University invites applications for the IT Support Technician – Holborn role.
Job Summary
As an IT Support Technician, you will support all technology for students and staff in the Holborn campus, providing localised and remote support, resolving hardware and software issues, delivering training, and enforcing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding localised and remote support to the Holborn campus, taking ownership of first and second line issues.
- Resolve on-ground computer & AV hardware and software issues and manage incoming support requests both in person and remotely.
- Deliver user training and encourage best practice across all domains, enforcing policy for staff and students.
Qualifications
- IT Support / Service Desk experience.
- Proficient in supporting Microsoft operating systems and applications.
- Ability to explain technical solutions to all levels of users.
- Experience with an ITSM ticketing system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience providing training or creating documentation.
- Awareness of data protection principles (GDPR).
- Fundamental understanding of web technologies.
Desirable Skills
- ITIL qualifications.
- Technical accreditation such as Microsoft MCSA/Cisco CCNA etc.
- Experience working with AV equipment.
Salary & Working Hours
£31,000 per annum plus a 10% uplift for working outside standard business hours. London Weighting: £4,000 per annum. Employment type: Permanent. 37 hours per week (Mon‑Thu 12:00‑20:30, Fri 09:00‑14:00).
