About the Opportunity

Arden University is seeking an experienced International Admissions Team Leader to oversee the UK International Admissions function for Student Route applicants. Working closely with Immigration Compliance and Recruitment teams, you will ensure admissions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with UKVI, CMA, and Fair Admissions requirements. You will lead a team of Admissions Officers and Senior Admissions Officers, managing day‑to‑day operations, supporting staff development, and driving high service standards while helping safeguard the University’s UKVI Sponsor Licence.

About You

You will lead and manage the UKI Admissions team, overseeing workloads, performance, and staff development to ensure high levels of service delivery. The role is responsible for ensuring international applications are assessed accurately and within agreed timelines, while acting as an escalation point for complex applications and admissions queries. You will maintain a strong understanding of UKVI regulations and international admissions practices, monitor compliance, audit admissions decisions, and identify potential risks or fraudulent activity. Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will support recruitment and operational objectives while contributing to process improvements, reporting, and staff training initiatives.

Essential requirements

  • Experience working within International Admissions and the international applicant journey.
  • Strong understanding of UKVI compliance and admissions processes.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Desirable requirements

  • Experience within Higher Education admissions.
  • Knowledge of SITS or similar admissions systems.
  • Experience developing admissions procedures aligned to UKVI and Fair Admissions requirements.
