This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement that will require some travel, predominantly to our Coventry Head office and our Birmingham Campus (although there may be times you will need to travel to our other campus locations in Leeds, London, Nottingham and Manchester). This is expected to be approximately once a week but may fluctuate in line with business requirements.

About our Department: The Academic Office at Arden University plays an important role in supporting academic governance, quality assurance, and student success. The department oversees key processes such as programme validation and approval, policy development, regulatory compliance, and assessment management.
About the Opportunity: As Faculty Admin Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Dean, Associate Dean, and the Senior Leadership Team in delivering the Faculty’s strategic and operational goals. You will lead the academic administration team, ensuring the efficient and consistent delivery of core administrative services within the Faculty. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the allocation and oversight of work within the admin team, maintaining high standards of service and operational effectiveness.
About You: We’re looking for a confident, proactive, and highly organised individual with experience of managing administrative functions within a complex, fast-paced environment—ideally in Higher Education or a similarly regulated sector. You will bring strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff, delegate effectively, and manage competing priorities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience of managing or supervising an administrative team in a busy, multi-stakeholder environment
- Experience of working with Senior Leaders and Leadership Teams
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance strategic oversight with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in liaising with colleagues at all levels, including senior academic staff
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships across departments and with external partners
- A solution-focused mindset, with the initiative to review and improve systems and processes
- A good understanding of the student journey and the administrative touchpoints that support it
