About our School: Our School of Psychology has grown significantly over the last few years, and our journey continues. Our academic team brings together extensive experience from academia, professional practice, and industry. Our goal is to equip our students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are fully prepared for employment upon graduation.

About the Opportunity: The Employer Advisory Board brings together senior professionals to help the School of Psychology align education with real‑world employer needs. As a Board member with expertise in consumer and customer insights, you will contribute sector‑specific intelligence on how insight roles are evolving, where employers face skills shortages, and how new, emerging, and transitioning talent can be better prepared for the workplace. This role focuses on solving talent and skills challenges, supporting early‑career entry, upskilling and reskilling, and strengthening the pipeline of graduates into insights‑driven roles. This is a strategic advisory role (not a governance position). Your insight will inform curriculum design, employability strategy, and employer engagement, ensuring graduates are equipped to add value quickly in professional insights environments.

About You: As an Employer Advisory Board member, you bring:

  • Current, practical experience of your sector
  • Insight into how consumer and customer insights functions operate in practice
  • First‑hand understanding of recruitment challenges, skills gaps, and workforce transition
  • Awareness of how tools, roles, and expectations are changing (e.g. AI, analytics, hybrid skillsets)

You act as a bridge between industry and academia, helping translate employer need into meaningful learning and talent development.
