About the Opportunity
As a Computing Lecturer, you will collaborate with a team of academics located across Arden's UK study centres, working together to provide the best possible experience for our students. Our distance learning programmes offer flexible daytime and evening classes, with programmes designed to engage students through a variety of online learning platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and dynamic lectures online for our distance learning students.
- Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
- Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
- Lead or support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
- Drive innovation in teaching methods, student support, and assessment techniques.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a Computing Science or related discipline.
- Proven experience in delivering engaging teaching across theory-based and practical modules, with proficiency in Java, MySQL, PHP, AWS/Azure, Python, and SPSS at levels 4 to 7.
- Ideally, industry experience in areas such as Programming, Databases, Data Analysis, IT Security, Cloud Infrastructure, IT Project Management, Systems Analysis, and Ethics in IT.
- Confident in using diverse teaching techniques in both face-to-face and online platforms such as Zoom.
