International Admissions Officer – Arden University
This position supports the Admissions process for international students across undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.
The role ensures compliance with the University's Admissions Policy, Code of Practice and UKVI regulations while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assess and process international student applications, making decisions on offers, rejections and withdrawals.
- Apply and interpret UKVI policies and the university's admissions criteria.
- Investigate supporting documentation and liaise with applicants or agents as needed.
- Detect fraudulent applications and verify international qualifications.
- Conduct pre-CAS assessments and ensure compliance with sponsorship requirements.
- Provide tailored advice to applicants and agents on course options and admissions.
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure accuracy in the student management system.
Qualifications
- Experience in UK higher education, specifically within an international admissions or recruitment role.
- Strong understanding of UKVI regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student record / CRM systems.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- A proactive, team‑oriented approach with a strong customer‑service ethos.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable
- Experience with ECCTIS and working with external agencies.
- Knowledge of international education systems.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including overseas and support events during evenings or weekends.
