About the Opportunity
The Admissions Team Leader manages a team of Admissions officers and Senior Admissions Officers, ensuring all applications are assessed correctly, efficiently and in a timely manner. They also manage the related dedicated inboxes, ensuring queries are actioned appropriately and in a timely manner by the team.
About You
- Proven analytical and problem solving capability.
- Proven communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and strong listening and mediation skills.
- Proven planning and organising skills and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Able to delegate as needed to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Line management skills that could include coaching, motivation and managing staff performance.
- Experience of working in a high-volume data processing environment.
- Significant admissions experience within HE environment.
- Growing awareness of developments in higher education and external professional environment that impact on academic affairs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the work practices, processes and university regulations relevant to the role, which may include broader sector awareness.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of performance management and individual/team KPI’s.
- Previous experience using SITS or comparable admissions systems to maintain an accurate database.
- Working knowledge of the work and activities of other areas of the University relevant to department.
- Operational knowledge of academic affairs systems in terms of admissions functionality and capability, and detailed knowledge of own service area.
