Permanent Lead Salesforce Developer Department: IT This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that could require monthly attendance at one of our UK sties for team meetings. Our remote working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit which could change at any point during your employment, so for this reason an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts. The Salesforce Developer sits within our Technology Department that is crucial to making sure our employees and students can work effectively, deliver projects, find the right solutions and ensure we develop the technology that will make the biggest difference. Our IT team is made up of around 65 employees with a vast range of skills from Software Development to IT Operations and Security. Our IT Department values employee development and we have lots of great examples of employee progression and promotions within the team. As an experienced Salesforce Developer within Arden University’s Technology team, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining solutions across our Salesforce platform, helping us deliver technology that creates value for our students, colleagues and wider University. You’ll work across Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, designing and building solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components and declarative automation. Alongside development, you’ll contribute to BAU support, technical investigations, releases and continuous improvement, helping to maintain and enhance the Salesforce platform as our needs evolve. You’ll work closely with Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, Administrators and the Lead Salesforce Developer to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions. If you're passionate about Salesforce development, thrive on solving complex technical challenges, and want to lead the delivery of enterprise-scale solutions in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you Salesforce Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II certifications. ~ Salesforce Platform Administrator or Platform App Builder certification. ~5+ years’ professional experience in Salesforce development , including designing, developing and maintaining Salesforce solutions. ~ Strong experience developing with Apex , including classes, triggers, asynchronous processing and unit testing. ~ Strong experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC) . ~ Strong experience with Salesforce Flow and declarative automation , with sound judgement about when to use configuration versus custom code. ~ Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, object relationships, security and sharing model . ~ Experience developing and supporting integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems , including REST/SOAP APIs and common integration patterns. ~ Experience using Git and version control , including branching and pull request workflows, and working with Salesforce DX . ~ Experience with CI/CD and Salesforce deployment pipelines , using tools such as Bitbucket, Copado, Gearset or similar. ~ Experience managing Salesforce releases and deployments between environments. ~ Experience conducting and responding to code reviews , working to agreed development standards and quality practices. ~ Experience working within an Agile delivery environment , including sprint planning, backlog refinement and effort estimation. ~ Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture across data, security, automation and integration layers, including bulkification, governor limits and common design patterns. ~ Understanding of release management, version control and deployment processes . ~ Understanding of data governance, GDPR and information security best practice . ~ Experience working with large datasets and data migration . Knowledge and practical experience of JavaScript, HTML and CSS . Experience working with middleware or third-party integration platforms . Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting junior developers . Knowledge and experience of Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud . Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant certification.
