We are working with an award-winning digital agency to recruit a talented WordPress Developer to join their growing technical team in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of digital projects, including large-scale WordPress websites, bespoke Laravel platforms and innovative AI-driven solutions. You’ll work closely with designers, developers and digital strategists to build scalable, high-performing websites and digital experiences for a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and support modern WordPress websites
- Build custom WordPress themes and bespoke functionality
- Integrate and manage third-party APIs and services
- Contribute to AI-powered features, automation tools and internal platforms
- Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, pixel-perfect front-end experiences
- Write clean, modular and well-documented code
- Support ongoing improvements, maintenance and optimisation across projects
- Contribute to technical decisions and development best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in WordPress development
- Strong experience with custom WordPress themes, ACF, Gutenberg and bespoke functionality development
- Experience with PHP/Laravel or similar frameworks
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrations
- JavaScript experience, ideally with Vue.js or Alpine.js
- Experience using Git and modern deployment workflows
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Desirable Skills
- Experience with AI integrations and automation tools
- Knowledge of search technologies such as Algolia or Meilisearch
- Understanding of headless CMS architectures
- WooCommerce or ecommerce integration experience
- Familiarity with Tailwind, Vite or Docker
