The Opportunity
Are you an experienced care manager ready to lead an established, growing branch? We're recruiting a Branch Care Manager on behalf of a leading private home care provider, caring since 1989, with over 150 branches across England and Wales, and consistently rated among the best in the sector. This is a semi-established branch delivering over 440 hours of private care per week, with a supportive office team already in place: two Care Coordinators and a Field Care Supervisor. You'll step into a branch with real momentum and take it to the next level, and as your branch grows, so does your bonus earning opportunity.
The Role
As Branch Care Manager, you'll be the registered manager for the branch, reporting to the Area Care Manager for your region, with central support from dedicated Recruitment, Marketing and Compliance teams. You will:
- Lead, develop and retain your branch team, driving quality care and performance
- Hold registered manager responsibility for CQC compliance, quality assurance and inspection readiness
- Grow the branch commercially, building relationships in the local community, onboarding new clients and growing care hours sustainably and ethically
- Balance outstanding quality of care with branch performance and profitability
- Participate in the on-call rota, with additional allowances paid
All care delivered is private (no local authority contracts), ranging from 30-minute visits through to live-in care.
About You
- Proven domiciliary care management experience
- You've been a Registered Manager, or a Manager with genuine CQC responsibility, recruitment, appraisals and client onboarding experience
- Excellent understanding of CQC standards and inspection preparation
- Commercially minded
- A track record of growing care hours profitably and ethically
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused
- Genuine passion for quality care
- A leader who'd never ask their team to do something they wouldn't do themselves
Essential:
- All candidates MUST hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
Please note, sponsorship is not available for this role.
Rewards
- Salary up to £40,000, dependent on experience
- £4,800 annual bonus potential, growing as your branch grows
- £1,000 guaranteed bonus in year one (paid in two instalments: on completion of probation and at 12 months)
- On-call allowance of £75 per week when on call, plus carer's hourly rate for any care delivered while on call
Interview process: two stages — first with the Area Care Manager, second with the Head of Operations.
