The Opportunity
We're recruiting a Branch Care Manager on behalf of a leading private home care provider, caring since 1989, with over 150 branches across England and Wales. This is a brand new branch opening in Lancaster, and they're looking for a leader to open the doors, take the branch through CQC registration, recruit the team and grow the service from scratch.
If you've ever watched things done in a way you knew you could improve on, this is your opportunity to take total ownership and build a service you're proud of, with full central support from dedicated Recruitment, Marketing and Compliance teams behind you.
The Role
- Lead the branch through CQC registration and launch
- Recruit and develop your own team, starting with your Care Coordinator and care assistants
- Get out into the local community to build the brand and win new business — from local groups and community venues to healthcare partnerships
- Grow care hours sustainably and ethically, building the client base from the ground up
- Be genuinely hands-on: in the early stages of a new branch, you'll deliver care yourself when needed, leading from the front
All care delivered is private (no local authority contracts), ranging from 30-minute visits through to live-in care.
About You
- Domiciliary care management experience
- A Registered Manager, Manager with CQC responsibility, or an experienced Deputy Manager who has genuinely operated at manager level and is ready for the step up
- Understanding of CQC standards, registration and inspection preparation (exposure to registration a strong advantage)
- Commercially driven
- Energised by getting out into the community and growing a service, not just running one
- Hands-on leadership style
- Willing to deliver care when the branch needs you
- Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused, with real passion for the care sector
Essential:
- All candidates MUST hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
Please note, sponsorship is not available for this role.
Rewards
- Salary up to £39,000, dependent on experience
- £4,800 annual bonus potential, and as your branch grows, your bonus earning opportunity grows with it
- On-call allowance of £75 per week when on call, plus carer's hourly rate for any care delivered while on call
Interview process: two stages — first with the Area Care Manager, second with the Head of Operations.
