The Role
This is a genuinely hands-on job, producing tooling used right across UK packaging and manufacturing. We're looking for a General Production Operative to work across departments, learning customer specifications and building practical skills as you go. It's an ideal role for someone self-motivated and hands-on, who takes pride in getting things right first time. Full training is provided, and there's real scope to progress. This is a day shift role but includes the opportunity to progress onto a shift position, which brings a further increase in hourly pay.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Working across different departments to learn customer specifications and production processes
- Carrying out practical, hands-on tasks using hand tools and equipment
- Flagging any delays or issues promptly to the Production Manager
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in your work area
- Helping the team stay on track with deadlines during busy periods
