Ardcomm House is a specialised residential unit dedicated to children's rights, offering a safe and secure environment with personalised nurturing care for children aged 5-11. Over a two-year period, it provides meticulously planned therapeutic support for three children with emotional and behavioural development needs (EBD). Our goal is to work collaboratively with the children, their families, and external partners from statutory, academic, community, and voluntary sectors in multi-disciplinary teams to prepare the children for a seamless transition into long-term care settings.

Purpose of the role: To be responsible for shaping and delivering the residential home's Statement of Purpose and managing the team to achieve the same. To provide high quality care services through day-to-day management and general administration. To manage statutory responsibilities that support the needs of the residents and to be an advocate on their behalf, ensuring the approach adapted is that of a child-friendly, supportive and therapeutic ethos. This will include the need to ensure appropriate standards of care and assessment for the children referred to the service, ensuring that care is both evidence-based and outcomes-focused. The registered manager will ensure that the home operates in an efficient and effective child-centred manner.

This is a senior leadership role where the successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape the staffing and development of the home, while benefiting from strong organisational support. Essential Education and Qualifications: Must hold a professional social work qualification and be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC). Minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience in residential social work, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
