We're recruiting on an exclusive basis for a Building Manager to run one a Grade A office building in Sheffield. This c.78,000 sq ft asset sits in the heart of the city centre, and it has recently had a major investment and refurbishment programme. It is BREEAM Excellent and further green upgrades under way. The building is multi-let to a diverse occupier base, so this is a high-profile role with real ownership of the asset.
Take day-to-day operational responsibility for the building, in line with health and safety, environmental and company standards.
Prepare, control and monitor annual service charge budget
Lead on health and safety compliance: audits, evacuations, emergency plans, risk and insurance compliance, and an annual crisis management review.
Oversee the planned maintenance programme, and manage contractors and service providers to the agreed standard.
Look after the on-site amenities, including showers, cycle storage, security and a staffed reception.
Build strong relationships with occupiers and attend tenant meetings.
Line manage and develop the on-site team, including appraisals and objective setting.
Support procurement and contract compilation, and maintain site records such as the asset register and plant testing.
Proven experience managing a commercial property or a portfolio, including line management and service agreements.
Strong technical knowledge of premises management.
Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental requirements.
IOSH qualified. IWFM is desirable.
Comfortable with industry FM and property IT systems.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Salary £42,000-£47,000 + Excellent Benefits
