We have an opening for a proactive Shift Operator to join our Production team in Wrexham.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining machinery including the Baler, Palletiser, and Re-Work Palletiser to ensure smooth production operations.
- Carrying out regular line quality checks to ensure products meet standards and printing pallet tickets for outgoing orders.
- Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving basic machine issues such as strapper jams and restarts.
- Fork-lift truck operation and performing outgoing inspections to ensure product quality.
- Adhering to all safety standards and company procedures, including following the 6S and Wrexham housekeeping organisational system.
- Monitoring and achieving efficiency and spoilage targets.
- Contributing to job rotation across different operator tasks and helping with line clearances when necessary.
Professional Requirements
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in a high-speed process environment and shift work is desirable.
