The jobholder is responsible for producing accurate surveys and design drawings of plant and equipment within our Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe (AGP-E) division.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate design drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software when requested by the senior designer and/or Project Engineer.
  • Carry out on-site surveys and 3D scans as required at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
  • Provide project supporting services to the project engineers at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
  • Identify and put forward any improvements that can be made to a design in order to achieve the most suitable design for the given objective.
  • Produce associated documents to support the design drawings using software such as Word and Excel.
  • Maintain effective communication between colleagues in order to maintain an effective team.

Requirements:

  • Experience of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
  • A good understanding of the glass manufacturing process and ergonomics.
  • Experience in Office 365 (Word, Excel).
  • The ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Able to travel as the business requires.
  • Able to operate survey equipment such as laser levelling, 3D scanner and measuring devices (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
