Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver discrete projects within own area, to deliver specified business benefits within a set time frame and cost-effective manner.
- Liaise with company insurers to ensure statutory testing of equipment is carried out & logged on time within legal requirements.
- Keep up with current legislation requirements & ensure such information is distributed within the department to relevant personnel.
- Manage & record maintenance of plant facilities, i. e., roadways & buildings.
- Manage / control contractors carrying out work on site.
- Provide hands on maintenance, repair & technical support, to team and plant.
- Use of SAP for records & work schedules.
- Source and order defective equipment, components.
- Compliance with Health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Understanding & use of plant monitoring system.
- Plant process systems & utilities including air, vacuum, gas, steam, & water.
- Control of water treatment plant and processes across site.
- Required skills / qualifications
- Overview of glass production process.
- Knowledge of company legislation requirements.
- Ability to Plan, organise & prioritise multiple works simultaneously and to effectively manage tasks under pressure.
- Be organised and proactive in improving the sites infrastructure and services in maximising the plants uptime and availability.
- Have a commitment to continuous Improvement – 5S, SMED, TPM.
- The Personal Drive to succeed for the team and business.
- Good IT skills.
- Good working knowledge of project planning.
- Analytical & interpretative skills.
