Line Controller Irvine Plant Role description
We currently have a vacancy for a Line Controller. The successful applicant will be responsible for detecting container defects and sleeving quality on their production lines to ensure containers meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Gauge and visually inspect bottles to ensure they meet the necessary specifications in accordance with company procedure
- Observe the performance of the cold end equipment, both directly and via Ardagh Production System (APS)
- Establish an effective communication flow between the Hot End (verbally) and also via APS in order to resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Monitor line performance and report any issues to supervision in a timely manner
- Monitoring the quality of the sleeving function
Required skills / qualifications
- Educated to SQA Higher Level
- Knowledge of Glass inspection equipment and bottle faults
- A good understanding of Lean Sigma six (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement
- Enthusiasm, commitment, personal drive and customer focus
- Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills
What we offer
- Salary Minimum £38,100 - £43,380 Maximum
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
- Normal shift pattern is determined by the 5-crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts and then a six-day rest period, which includes 21 shifts holiday which are built into the shift 5 crew rota.
