  • Role Description

Carry out the engineering setup, repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems on factory equipment and services to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Health and Safety Procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Carry out maintenance activities (PPM, Continuous Improvement & Repairs).
  • Prepare equipment ready for efficient job changes, planned maintenance & repairs.
  • Perform job change engineering functions; equipment changes, setup and adjustments to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
  • Identify and repair equipment faults.
  • Communicate effectively with employees to maintain an effective well-informed team.
  • Maintain IS (Independent Section) machine in accordance with a preplanned schedule to reduce mechanical malfunctions and maintain effective operations.
  • Required Skills / Qualifications
  • Experienced Apprentice Trained Engineer (level 3).
  • Mechanically biased maintenance engineer preferred.
  • Previous experience of equipment & process knowledge in FMCG desirable.
  • Fault finding & analytical skills on electromechanical equipment.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing / continues improvement methodology.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
  • Computer literate and awareness of relevant computer systems: APS, PIC, CMMS (SAP).
  • Excellent communication & analytical skills.
  • Personal & professional drive for success.

  • Salary Minimum £33,626 – £41,448 maximum

  • 37 hours per week Monday- Friday, with option for condensed hours, which includes 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
