IT Director – Business Systems Role Profile
Position Summary: The IT Director – Business Systems is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and management of enterprise applications that support the organization\’s business objectives. This role involves overseeing application architecture, software development, and ensuring the successful implementation of application solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the application strategy aligned with the organization\’s business goals.
- Application Management: Oversee the lifecycle of enterprise applications, from selection, development, implementation, and maintenance to retirement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of application developers, analysts, and project managers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT peers, and external vendors to ensure application solutions meet business requirements.
- Innovation & Digital Transformation: Drive innovation by adopting new technologies and best practices to enhance business processes.
- Performance & Quality Assurance: Ensure applications meet performance, security, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in application development and IT leadership roles.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise application portfolios and large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, cloud solutions, and enterprise application architecture.
