  • Role description

Operate feeder and forehearth equipment to ensure that glass containers can be produced as effectively as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining efficient operation of the feeder and forehearth equipment during the job change process.
  • Carry out maintenance work on feeders and forehearths to maintain efficient operation.
  • Respond to any container defects detected in hot and cold end and make necessary changes to feeder and forehearth equipment to minimise the occurrence of container defects.
  • Identify any malfunctions with the feeder and forehearth, repair if possible or refer to necessary personnel to minimise downtime.
  • Required Skills / Qualifications
  • Ability to work with feeder and forehearth equipment.
  • Understanding of forehearth operation, maintenance, and equipment.
  • Excellent engineering skills and initiative.
  • Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
  • Have an awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.
